Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Contracts and forms hold personal details, so the PDF is opened and saved inside this tab, and the page's security policy blocks it from sending data anywhere.

Can I just read a PDF here?

Yes. Choose the PDF, look through the pages on this page, or press View full screen for a reader with one page, two pages, a grid or a scroll, zoom and page numbers. Press Edit only when you want to write on it.

Is this a digital signature?

Accepted Answer

No. It puts a picture of your signature on the page, like signing on paper and scanning it. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so it does not prove who signed or that the file is unchanged. Most forms and simple contracts accept a picture. If the other side needs a certified signature, ask them which service they use.

My form has no fillable boxes. Can I still use it?

Yes. That is what Edit is for. Click on the page, type, and the text is placed exactly there. If the PDF does have real fields, Fill PDF Form is quicker.

How do I remove something I added?

Accepted Answer

Click it (or press Tab to reach it), then press Delete or use the Delete button. Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) undoes the last change, and Shift+Ctrl+Z brings it back. Once saved, the marks are part of the page, so keep your original file.

Can I edit a PDF from another tool here?

Yes. Every PDF you open full screen on this site, such as the result of Merge PDF or Compress PDF, has an Edit button. It is the same editor.

Can I type in Russian, Greek or other alphabets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Latin letters, including æ, ø, å, é and ß, use the standard Helvetica font. Other alphabets use an open-source font that is saved with your file, so they look the same in every reader.
