Donate or sponsor a tool

Every tool is free, with no limits, no ads and no paid version. That will not change. If the tools saved you time, here is how to give something back.

Donate

Donations pay for the domain and the time it takes to review tools and keep the site safe. Nothing is unlocked by paying, and nothing is taken away by not paying.

It is a plain link to that site. This page loads nothing from it and sends it nothing about you.

A card gift through Ko-fi shows as FREETHETOOLS.COM on your statement. You can give once or every month, and stop a monthly gift on Ko-fi at any time. See the terms.

Build or request a tool

Most tools take an afternoon, and the contributor guide walks you through it. Your name goes on the tool page. If you cannot build it, ask for it and others can press "I want this".

Tell someone

The site has no ads and no tracking, so it grows only when people pass it on. Send a tool to someone who still uploads their documents to a stranger's server, or star the project on GitHub.

Sponsor a tool

A company can fund the build of a tool people have asked for. The tool page then credits the company by name. That is all a sponsor gets: no placement, no ranking, no data, no say over the pledge. Sapience AS invoices sponsorship with Norwegian VAT. Write to hello@freethetools.com.

Where the money goes

Hosting is free on Cloudflare. The costs are the domain, the time to review contributions, security work and the occasional library licence check. Any surplus goes into building the tools people have asked for most. The governance page sets the rules, including that sponsorship can never buy features or tracking.
